Tour Salt Spring from the Sea

When you visit the Gulf Islands, it is wonderful to be able to get out on the ocean. Boating through the islands, you may glimpse the sea life and incredible birds in the Salish Sea area, including eagles, seals, sea lions, porpoises, and perhaps even whales!

Reel Action Charters

Kurt Irwin at Reel Action Charters offers both fishing trips and sightseeing tours on his 24-foot Northwest aluminum boat. Enjoy the sea breeze and stunning views of the islands from the comfortable heated cabin or open deck. And, of course, there is a private marine washroom on board.

Kurt is a 4th generation First Nations Salt Spring Islander whose family moved from their home island of Penelakut in 1856. On sightseeing and fishing charters, he shares some of the most beautiful spots that are only accessible by boat, such as the Galiano Bluffs.

With a maximum of four participants, you will enjoy a very personalized experience on the boat with a convenient pick-up location on Salt Spring for your day at sea. Kurt Irwin has been boating and fishing in the Salish Sea his whole life and is a wonderful storyteller who happily shares about First Nations culture and the history of Salt Spring.

Sightseeing charters are a minimum of two hours. Fishing charters are a minimum of four hours. Those fishing would need a printed tidal water fishing license with a salmon stamp.
