Caviar is Having a Moment
Caviar is a long-standing way to celebrate momentous occasions and special events. But increasingly, caviar is being enjoyed in the late afternoon on restaurant patios or as an elevated appetizer. With its resurgence in popularity, anytime is a good time for caviar.
The rich flavour palate of Canadian White Sturgeon caviar pairs well with champagne or with a white wine that has some sweetness. The Tantalus winery in the Okanagan Valley offers a number of wines that would be ideal to sip along with caviar at our seaside social cocktail hour, such as the Old Vines Riesling or the Blanc de Noir sparkling wine. If you prefer champagne, why not consider Taittinger Brut Reserve, a champagne that sommeliers often recommend with caviar due to its elegance and lightness.
Imagine an afternoon on the Terrace overlooking Ganges Harbour sipping a glass of bubbly and indulging in a few bites of heaven.
