Best Suites if you’re Travelling with Kids

Hastings House is an idyllic spot for a family vacation or reunion. We have a number of suites with second bedrooms and unique bedroom profiles that are wonderful options if you’re travelling with kids. And each stay includes house-made muffins delivered to your door at 7:30am followed by a full made-to-order breakfast in our gourmet dining room.

Hayloft Room

The Hayloft Room in the Barn has a cozy feel and is a perfect room for parents and a child or tween. The daybed, set in a bay window, can be made up into a full Twin bed. This guest room is also quite bright with three large skylights. It is especially lovely in spring and fall as it has a gas fireplace with high back armchairs for reading on a crisp afternoon. Though it is not as roomy as the larger suites at Hastings House, Hayloft has a lot to offer.

Meadow Suite

The Meadow is a quaint two-bedroom suite that may suit a family of three or four. The main Queen bedroom has a sitting area that looks out French doors to a deck and semi-private lawn. Imagine the kids doing cartwheels as you sit and enjoy your morning coffee and muffins on the deck chairs. The second Queen bedroom offers a separate spot for your child(ren). This cozy room has its own door to access the spacious bathroom with both a shower and deep soaker tub. Inquire at Reception about our colourful Island Soap bath bombs.

Manor West Suite

Conveniently located upstairs in the Sussex-style Manor House, the Manor West is a two-bedroom suite ideal for a family of four. With its Queen room overlooking the harbour and second bedroom with two Twin beds, Manor West is also one of our most versatile suites. Its shared foyer includes an informal sitting area and a bookcase with a selection of books about Canadian history, and the flora and fauna of British Columbia. Just check-in and make yourself at home!

Churchill Cottage

For larger families or groups, the Churchill Cottage is a perfect addition to your selection of rooms. This three-bedroom cottage can accommodate up to seven guests. The King bedroom features a walk-in closet and ensuite. The Queen bedroom and single Twin room share a second full bathroom. Churchill Cottage can accommodate up to seven guests with the use of a comfortable pullout sofa bed in the living room. This suite also has a full kitchen, dining room and laundry facilities, making it a great fit for longer stays. In the low season, Hastings House offers an Extended Stay discount of 30% on stays of six days or more!
