No need for black tie or ball gowns. The dress code is PJ’s for the highlight of an upbeat package at Hastings House on Salt
Spring Island, British Columbia. A crackling log fire and popping Champagne corks set the tempo for a pyjama party in the privacy of a beautifully appointed luxury room, served up with Veuve Clicquot and a specially prepared three-course dinner. In true Hastings House style, Executive Chef Marcel Kauer personally meets with guests first to fine-tune the menu choices.
A full plate of arts, touring, and spa services complete the indulgence.

Adding even more zest to their visit, guests may choose from among several optional activities:
1. Gourmet Safari
This guided six-hour tour of the island explores Salt Spring’s intriguing art scene, with tastings of food and wine, encouraging guests to indulge their palates while learning all about the region’s artists and culinary specialties (additional charges apply). Guests may also follow a map to wineries and cheeseries in their own or rented vehicle.
2. Self-guided studio tour
we’ll highlight the stops on the map most likely to tickle your interests, and you can take a
picnic lunch along to enjoy as you visit island artists at work and play. Rental cars are available if you arrive without your own vehicle.
3. Hike and picnic in Salt Spring’s 1000+ acre Ruckle Park or atop Mount Maxwell for breathtaking scenery.
4. A variety of water based activities – Whale Watching, guided kayak excursions, sailing or fishing charters can be arranged (additional charges apply).
5. Wander the shops and galleries of Ganges, a 10-minute walk away, and visit the Saturday Market April-October for
island-made and grown products. Complementary bicycles are provided by the hotel.
