Summerhouse

The rustic private Summerhouse on the Point, was built from beach wood in the 1920's by the Rowan family as a playhouse for their two girls.

Flower Gardens

Walk past the vine covered wishing well and into the beautiful, scented Flower Gardens for a garden style wedding.

The Shady Orchard

This is our largest area, perfect for a large group under tents. Surround yourself in the lush, wooded rainforest with ocean views.

Lower Patio

Immerse yourself in lush greenery and take in the beautiful sculptures & artwork around the patios.

Front Lawns

Take in the stunning ocean views overlooking the harbor and enjoy the set up on our perfectly manicured lawns.

Beach Weddings

What better for a westcoast wedding than to get married on the beach? Hastings House has a wonderful beachfront for a small ceremony, or even just for pictures by the old fashioned boat house.

Indoor Venue Options

Verandah Banquet Room

The perfect venue for a wedding for up to 70 people for a formal, sit down dinner. This open, a-frame concept building has windows all around and French doors leading outside to the lawns, it has breathtaking ocean views.

Somerset Villa

This hillside villa can accommodate smaller groups, it has a spectacular harbour views, a fireplace and patio. This is a perfect location for a warm & intimate gathering.

The Lounge

Sit in our cozy lounge off the dining room in the Manor House, perfect for cocktails & canapés after your ceremony.

Picturesque Churches on Saltpsring Island

If you are looking for a religious ceremony, Salt Spring has some of the most beautiful churches. St. Paul's Catholic church was Saltpsring's first church built in 1880 with the materials brought over in canoes by the Cowichan Indians.

Rental Equipment and Set-up

* Please Note: Many of these services require advance booking.

* Please Note: The couple must obtain a Marriage License from the government office on a non-holiday weekday. No previous residency in Canada is required; both traditional and same-sex marriages are permitted. Only one member of the couple is required to apply for the license, with identification for both. One of two Marriage Commissioners (similar to a Justice of the Peace) on the island will perform the civil ceremony. Larger receptions may require rented tents, tables and chairs.
