Our housekeepers will tidy your room at a convenient time between 8 am and 4 pm. You may call reception to arrange a time in advance. Or to let them know you are out, please “Put out the Cat.” If you do not wish to be disturbed, turn the cat over to display your WatchDog. (show picture of Cat, toggling to Dog).
Your towels will be refreshed and your bed turned down for the night between 6 pm and 8 pm. You’ll find two bottles of water on your bedside table and a small treat on your pillow to wish you sweet dreams
Transportation and Parking
By prior arrangement, our driver and van will await your arrival at float plane or ferry docks to transport you and your luggage to Hastings House.
The village is a ten-minute stroll away, or you may take a 10-minute “cruise” to the center of shopping and galleries aboard a passenger shuttle from the marina next door. We will fit you with mountain bikes and helmets for exploring more of the island, or you may rent a car at the marina. Clean and safe taxis are also available.
Parking is complimentary for your own car.
Safety
We have a safe in reception should you wish to lock up valuables. Salt Spring is generally safe, but streets are not well-lighted—reflective clothing and a flashlight (provided in your room) is recommended for nighttime strolls. |
