Manor House

The Manor

The stately Manor House was built in 1938-40 by Warren Hastings to replicate his family’s 11th century home in Sussex, England, using natural stone and native woods from the property. He and his wife Barbara lived here until 1978. The heart of the Hastings House Country Estate, this original residence now hosts the Dining Room, Kitchen, the Snug, and the Living Room, with its large cowl-shaped Inglenook fireplace. Here guests are served Afternoon Tea and Cocktails, and are welcome to enjoy a good book or game at any time of day. A small library adjoins two suites, Manor East and West, located on the upper floor of the Manor House.
